CITC Announces Free Virtualization Service

Maurice Leatherbury, Acting Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Technology Officer, announced on Wednesday October 14th that the Computing and Information Technology Center would host any server on campus for free on the CITC’s virtualization “farm.” The move to free hosting was done to spur the adoption of virtualization technology on campus, technology that saves significant space and power and thus advances UNT’s goal to be a green campus.

Additional information about the service can be found on the VM Services Web site.
