UNT President Gretchen M. Bataille joins SAGE Board of Directors
Gretchen M. Bataille, president of the University of North Texas, was recently named to the board of directors of SAGE, the world's 5th-largest journals publisher. Named in 2008 as one of the 25 most influential women by the Dallas Business Journal and as one of the great women of Texas by the Fort Worth Business Press, Bataille is the first female president of the 118-year-old UNT, where she has earned recognition for her achievements and for UNT's growing stature as a public research university. Bataille serves on various boards in such important organizations as The Chronicle of Higher Education/New York Times Higher Education Cabinet and the American Council on Education, and she chaired the Iowa Civil Rights Commission. In addition to her current position heading Texas' 4th-largest university, Dr. Bataille has also served in various administration roles at: - University of North Carolina

Bataille joins 8 other board members, each of whom has achieved considerable recognition in their respective industries.
