UNT One O'Clock Lab Band to perform at Dallas Museum of Art

What: University of North Texas One O'Clock Lab Band to perform in the Dallas Museum of Art's "Jazz in the Atrium" series

DENTON (UNT), Texas --The internationally acclaimed One O'Clock Lab Band -- the premier ensemble of the renowned jazz program at the University of North Texas -- will perform a free concert at the Dallas Museum of Art as part of its "Jazz in the Atrium" series.

The concert will take place at 6 p.m. Nov. 5 (Thursday) at the Dallas Museum of Art during its "Thursday Night Live" weekly program of family-friendly activities when the museum stays open until 9 p.m. 

About the One O'Clock Lab Band

The Grammy-nominated One O'Clock Lab Band, UNT's premier jazz ensemble, has performed and toured throughout the world -- including Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Thailand and The Netherlands.

The band is directed by Steve Wiest, a Grammy-nominated arranger and associate professor of music. The UNT jazz program -- the first of its kind in the nation -- is housed within the College of Music, one of the largest and most comprehensive music schools in the nation.
