Training Introduction & Instructions
Welcome to the UNT Risk Management Online Laboratory Safety Training Program.
The information contained in these online learning modules are geared to better equip participants in proper laboratory and chemical safety.
Expected Participation
Who should participate in the training?
New and affected employees, TA's, RA's, researchers, scientists, and faculty are required to complete this training on an annual basis.
Self-Paced Learning
This is self-paced, online training. Read and comprehend the information contained in each module as fully as possible before moving to the next module.
Eight Training Modules
The training will be divided into eight learning modules.
Topics covered include:
- Rules of protecting yourself
- General chemical safety
- MSDS sheet
- Storage of chemicals
- Chemical labeling
- Chemical spill procedures
- Personal protective equipment
- Waste disposal
- Final examination
Final Quiz
RMS encourages you to completely read and understand the material before taking the quiz. You may log in with your EUID and AMS password to access the final quiz at any time.
Passing Score
A passing grade of 70% is necessary for you to complete the training successfully.
