Training Introduction & Instructions
Welcome to the UNT Risk Management Online Pyrophoric Safety Training Program.
The information contained in these online learning modules are meant to provide greater awareness concerning pyrophoric materials use, safety processes, and waste disposal.
Expected Participation
Who should participate in the training?
New and affected employees, TA's, RA's, researchers, scientists, and faculty are required to complete this training on an annual basis.
Self-Paced Learning
This is self-paced, online training. Read and comprehend the information contained in each module as fully as possible before moving to the next module.
Eight Training Modules
The training will be divided into eight learning modules.

- Personal Protective Equipment and Safety
- Safe Handling Procedures for Pyrophoric Liquids
- Safe Handling Procedures for Pyrophoric Solid Chemicals
- Safe Handling Procedures for Pyrophoric Gases

- Decontamination procedures

Passing Score
A passing grade of 70% is necessary for you to complete the training successfully.
