An invitation from the chair . . .

Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in our programs. We're proud of what we have to offer and we're committed to having our practice always informed by science and research.

If you are looking for a career in human services such as social work, rehabilitation, and the addictions, we invite you to explore the various options that provide credentialing with an undergraduate degree. If you are looking for Master's level study in preparation as a rehabilitation counselor whether it be in the public or private sector or because you wish to continue later at the doctoral level, we have a degree that prepares you for rehabilitation counselor certification as well as for licensing as a professional counselor. Graduates from all of our programs are making a difference in the lives of hundreds and even thousands of persons and their families.

In addition to our education programs, our department also has numerous opportunities for you to work in research and service settings extending beyond the field experiences that are already built into the curriculum. Our faculty and staff run a neurotherapy laboratory, an assessment laboratory, and a Regional Continuing Education Program for Community Rehabilitation along with ongoing opportunities to work on a one to one basis with faculty and staff on specific research projects.

If you are looking to apply to one of our programs, all that you need is located here. You can download further information, the application forms and even a copy of the student handbook. Scholarship and other financial information are all included. And if you are already enrolled as a student, all of the documents about the various programs and what you need to know to graduate are here as well. And if you want to speak with one of our faculty or staff, feel free to call, write, or email.

Whether this is your first time visiting us or whether this is a return visit, let us know how this web site is working for you. We have included links in the hope that our site is a resource for you. Your feedback will allow us to make this site even more useable and relevant.

Thanks for visiting and we look forward to hearing from you.

Paul
