Conference Overview

Join us at the University of North Texas for the 4th annual UNT/TWU Child Welfare conference.

The theme for the conference is "CPS Achieving Outcomes". The conference will focus on CPS achieving outcomes for children and families in Texas. A variety of perspectives regarding CPS' accountability will be presented by CPS, legal as well as the consumers, the children and the parents. Our keynote speaker, Scott McCown is a dedicated advocate for children and families in Texas. Not only has he served as a district judge in Travis County, Texas, but currently as the executive director of the Center for Public Policy Priorities.

* Child Advocates...and anyone interested in Child Welfare and Child Protective Services!

Participants will receive 5 Contact Hours or .5 CEUs upon the full completion of this conference.

There is no charge for the conference sessions and CEUs.
However, there is a mandatory fee of $15 to $25 (depending upon parking choice; includes lunch).

Cost:  $15. + parking - to attend the conference, you must pay for the meals
Parking Garage is $10 for the day of the conference. (Recommended)
Parking in surface lots is $4 for the day. You can park in spaces designated as "D (Faculty/Staff)" "P (Premium)" "G (General)" or "Visitor". See the campus map for locations of available parking. Please be aware that parking in these lots is first-come, first-served and the lots tend to fill early each day. Parking in spaces otherwise designated will subject your vehicle to being ticketed and/or towed.
