Do you offer an Associates Degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling?

We offer an 18 hour Minor in Addictions Studies and a 12 hour Certificate in Substance Abuse Treatment. For more information on both of these programs, visit our Addictions page.

 

Can I get my LCDC from your Dallas Campus?

Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) exams are administered by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals (TCBAP). This link takes you directly to the 2007 Exam Dates and Registration Deadlines. The home page for TCBAP, http://www.tcbap.org/index.cfm has links to resources for testing materials. Additional materials to prepare for LCDC licensure or renewal are also available at the Texas Department of State Health Services.

 

I'm interested in your CRC program. How do I apply?

The acronym CRC stands for Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. This certificate is conferred by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC). You can find requirements for certification, applications, study guides, and FAQs to help you prepare for the exam at the CRCC link above.

 

How do I get an appointment with an Academic Advisor?

Where can I get degree plans for Rehabilitation and Social Work?

Master's degree plans are completed with your graduate advisor who is assigned to you after admission to the Rehabilitation Graduate program. You can review undergraduate Degree Planning Sheets, Course Descriptions, and an information flyer on Rehabilitation Studies on our Rehabilitation Undergraduate Page by clicking here. Does your department offer any scholarships or stipends?

Yes. In addition, scholarships are available for specific majors in the College of Public Affairs and Community Service. You can learn about university-wide scholarships and other forms of financial aid by visiting the UNT Financial Aid Website.

Yes we do! The Department of Rehabilitation, Social Work & Addictions is pleased to house the Consortium for Distance Education in Rehabilitation (CDER).
