Cecilia Thomas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation, Social Work and Addictions. She teaches solely in an undergraduate social work program teaching primarily the first practice course, diversity and integrative seminar for seniors. She is a licensed social worker and has over twenty years of social work practice experience including mental health, health services, medical social work and child welfare. Her scholarship has included issues impacting vulnerable and diverse populations across the life span that influence well-being and social functioning; as well as interrelated educational issues that support student learning in social work practice.
