Undergraduate Program

Rehabilitation professionals help people
with disabilities work, live and play as full members of their communities.
We foster a healthy interdependence -- supporting people where they need
help and gladly accepting their contributions in turn. It's a win-win
situation.

REHABILITATION
The Department of Rehabilitation, Social Work &
Addictions offers three degrees in the field of Rehabilitation.
- The department's Consortium
for Distance Education in Rehabilitation (CDER) offers a Master
of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. CDER is administered
completely online, utilizes a faculty of 30 professionals with
specialized backgrounds, and has an international enrollment of
over 300 students throughout the Consortium.
- The department's Denton campus offers a Master
of Science (MS) degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation
Studies is available at the department's Denton campus.
The Center for Rehabilitation
Studies was founded in 1967 to provide professional degrees and
continuing education in vocational rehabilitation services. Since that
time, two disciplines have been added, Social
Work and Addictions,
and the scope of the department has been redefined to include
the development and dissemination of innovative and interdisciplinary
practices that enhance opportunities for individuals with disabilities
to live and work in their communities. This is accomplished through
the three functional components that comprise the Department of Rehabilitation,
Social Work & Addictions: academics and research, continuing
education and technical assistance, and rehabilitation
services laboratories.
