Merchandising Inc. (website) More than worth mentioning:
This group began by collecting 300 cans of food at their September meeting and contiued to show their dedication to the cause by sitting outside of the Union during the cold month of November and engaging other students to take part in this fight against hunger. Not only did they receive more canned goods but they also helped raise over $600 dollars for the North Texas Food Bank. Merchandising Inc. was able to help those in need here in North Texas as well as connected the university to the community. They are truly a dedicated group of individuals looking to make change.

Social Work Student Association SWSA: (website)
Kept busy these past semesters raising over $1200 for Aids Services of North Texas and adding canned goods to their food panty. Additionally, SWSA spent their Halloween trick-or-treating for cans, the "fruits" of which went to Texas Re-entry program in Fort Worth. Finally, the SWSA end-of-year recognition event is also a food collection event in which food donations = chances at raffle items. Thanks to SWSA for continuing on.

Rotaract: Also Worth Mentioning:
This Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. This past year UNT Rotaract student association organized a trick-or-treat on Halloween for non-perishable food items. In total this dedicated group was able to fill up a truck of food.
