STUDENT LIFE AT TGS
Where will students stay?
The students will stay at Bruce Hall a dormitory at the University of North Texas (UNT). All meals will be provided through the governor's school. Most classes and extracurricular activities will be held nearby. Male and female participants will be assigned to separate floors and will share a room with another participant. Student Life Staff will make room assignments, and Resident Assistants will reside on each floor.
What is the ratio of students to adults at TGS?
There will be approximately 12 resident assistants (RA's) who will live in the dorm with the students. They will assist students getting to class, moving around campus, and provide guidance. Many of our RA's have previous experience in similar positions at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (TAMS) - an early college entry program at UNT. All RA's and instructors will have up-to-date criminal background checks.
