We Missed Homecoming

Click the photos in this slideshow for more of the story.

Now this wasn't our typical homecoming that we expected! Whitney and I started this venture at 6:30 in the morning. Please read the bullet by bullet commentary on our journey to UNT's homecoming!

*Patricia woke up at 6:30

*I set out for an oil change. I arrive at the car dealership at 7:49AM

*I got the oil change and a headache. I had a radiator hose replaced and it ended up taking five hours to complete. As I sit and wait with my puppy in the lounge I am growing very irritiated. Meanwhile, Whitney is sitting at home awaiting my arrival and waiting and waiting....

*at 1:00PM I am on my way to pick up Whitney and I am excited!!!!

*I arrive at Whitney's and she is waiting outside with her things to leave on our trip.

*She smells something burning when she gets in the car, but because i had an allergy attack earlier that day I disregarded the comment and we went on our merry way...

*An hour down the road towards Dallas, (as I am sleeping) Whitney felt something drop from underneath the car and saw smoke!!! She immediatley pulls over and we get out (I wake up) and all of the oil that was put in the engine earlier that day was now on the cement.

*So we called the insurance company/along with AAA got the car towed by a guy named Sunny, that by the way had two teeth and a full can of dip in his mouth. So then, Whitney, Patricia, and Cosmo (the puppy), and Sunny packed into the truck and went back to where our journey began at 7:49AM.

*So, by this time it was 8:00PM and we made it back to the dealership and needless to say we never made it to the Homecoming! I hope that everyone enjoyed our experience NOT to UNT's Homecoming!

PS. ALL WE wanted was a t-shirt!!!!
